Won a Free Hair Dryer in Dove Watsons Contest!

I won a free hair dryer but I can't really recall when and which one I participated in. Collected it from a ULU place which looked like a renovation site.

Rashes!

After using two of the slimming products( which I have not been using for quite some time), they caused an allergic skin reaction in me...

My arms itched like hell and now I have decided not to use products that I haven't used for a long time or past expiry date or after some mths of opening.

Applying False Eyelashes 1 - Diamond Lash 55103

Applying false eyelashes using Diamond Lash 55103, 552 Eyelashes Fixer Ex (clear), Mac Fluidline and other beauty products and tools as shown in picture below.

The aplication of lashes were really made simpler using the marvelous 552 Eyelashes Fixer Ex (clear). It took me less than 5 minutes to apply both lashes. Last time it took me an hour or 2 and I had to throw my eyelashes away because they kept dropping off and I applied too much glue that my eye makeup was totally ruined.

However, the glue tends to pull off my lashes when I removed my lashes... Anyone has any idea how to best remove the lashes?

Diamond Lash is very popular in Japan and Taiwan and is always featured in Popteens. I bought them on my Japan trip (click this link to view:
Japan! Diamond, Decorative, Dollywink, DUP, Eyemazing and Daiso Eyelashes, Eyelash Fixer Ex 552, eyeliners, eyelash glue ) It costs 1050 yen for 5 pairs and the good thing is that I don't really feel the lashbone at all and it won't irritate the eyes unless the glue came off...

I didn't manage to take good photos of both applied lashes before I went out.
Here's my right eye... taken before I went out.

About 4 hours later. The glue has turned white and both the liquid and fluidline eyeliner faded away.

The eyelashes seemed to move a bit out of place.

I guess I have to work harder at this application. I feel that Japanese girls didn't seem to have much problems at all..

Free Lancaster set with Singapore Women's Weekly

I just received my Singapore Women's Weekly and I redeemed this set FOC..

You might like to visit this website for more details...

Purchase on United Airlines

Nike sunglasses at US$85, Bobbi brown shimmer brick at US$43, Bobbi brown eye gel at US$41, Givenchy mascara at US$28 and Estee Lauder at US$63. I bought these on board the aircraft back to sg from Tokyo. I didn't manage to shop for branded back in Tokyo so I bought from them, only to find that the Estee Lauder is so SOOOOO much cheaper at our own dutyfree airport shop! I think is SG$53.

Decleor and Tweezerman purchase at Tangs Orchard

The SA in Tangs Orchard promoting the Decleor, Stila and Tweezerman stuff is very friendly.
I coerced her into giving me lots of free stuff... $300 can be a member there.

on top of box, from left to right: Makeup cleanser at $50, toning lotion at $49, cleansing gel at $49.
Box set of a body scrub and a perfume at $95. Total at $243.
A few months ago, I bought the perfume at the same price without the body scrub.

Freebies are in the Sachets.

I read on magazines that Tweezerman is very good. The SA also told me that I can get free sharpening of the tweezers by sending my tweezers if they get blunt to the United States and they will sharpen the tools and send them back to me FOC. I forgot if it is lifetime warranty..
I wondered who is going to pay for my expenses to send the stuff over. I don't like people to touch/use my tweezers, sometimes I shave first or when I pluck, a dot of blood appears. If they sharpen my tweezers, they also sharpen others' and ain't I at risk of getting AIDS from other owners?? (Remember? I Just came back from TTSH and did the blood test (involuntarily) for HIV and AIDS...)

Tweezerman tweezers set at $42,  file at $10 each.
The pink file's case seemed to be a bit cracked.

Freebies... include a full size facial scrub.

You get a $20 voucher for $200 spent and $50 for $400 spent in Tangs. I got $50 in 5 $10 vouchers and each is for purchase of a beauty product so I bought 2 nail files and offset $10 on my Tweezers. BTW, i have lots of tweezers already.. LOL.

Jurlique Purchase at Tangs.

My Jurlique Purchase at Tangs with all the freebies.
Tangs won the best dressed building award. Tangs had late closing hours on Friday, at midnight.

My Jurlique purchase at Tangs (on Friday 17 Dec) came up to $272, after discount is $262.

I also got double stamps for every $50 spent at Tangs Jurlique. Promotion is only for Friday and Saturday. I can get a free shampoo/ conditioner/body wash with 10 stamps. But Tangs Orchard only have the mint conditioner left. I will have to collect the shampoo/body wash at Tangs Vivocity or Raffles Place Robinsons since I don't think conditioner is of much use to me. Conditioner takes forever to be used up and I am also lazy to use it. I don't like to towel dry my hair after applying conditioner as some conditioners could be quite oily.

Initially, I only wanted to buy the herbal recovery collection but in order to get 10 stamps, I need to buy another item. LOL. I think Singapore wins other countries using Gifts with purchase (GWP) promotional gimmicks.

I must admit I am drawn to the freebies most of the time, I didn't really want to buy, just wanted to get a good price and getting lots of freebies helped. :)

I went overseas to many countries before but they don't seem to give free gifts at all and I ended up like a fool asking for freebies. LOL.

What I bought...

The lemongrass pure essential oil smells heavenly. I love the scent! It is going for $38 per bottle of 10ml.

Usually, Jurlique doesn't give free stuff and the herbal recovery gel is really very expensive at $234 and now the collection of 3 items is only at the price of the herbal recovery gel of $234, so it is really a good buy...

What's inside the box of collection...

The rosewater balancing mist smells so nice...

The free gifts... I got 2 clarifying day care lotion. Why was I given 2 bottles of the same thing?
I didn't check until I reached home...

Operation Use it up!

I just cleared my bathroom today and tried to used up the stuff yesterday and today. I have to admit that some have been used up/ lying around for some time and I was just procrastinating that I have no time to take photos, upload and then do a write up on them.

The Dermalogica skin smoothing cream is worth buying if your face is dry and needs hydrating. At first, you might feel it is oily but it will be okay after some time. The stress relief treatment oil is not really effective for me. I use it while massaging my legs but my legs still feel itchy and scratchy.

The Elizabeth Arden perfume was a birthday gift for me from my younger sister. The smell is quite fruity and suitable for ladies. It was a bit strong when I first used it and I have gone accustomed to the fragrance.

The Neostrata creams are more for sensitive skin, the Bio-hydrating cream is useful for hydrating your skin without feeling oily. I think that the Bionic eye cream is not in production now. The Decleor cleansing milk contains essential oils that is soothing and it is useful to cleanse your face after a long day at work or to remove the makeup, remember to use a cotton pad to wipe it off before washing your face.

Bath and Bodyworks Tranquil Mint stress relief hand soap helps me to relax when washing my hands. The scent is calming and soothing but the fragrance doesn't linger for long. You have to buy it online as it is not    available in shops in Singapore. I know some shops sell Bath and Bodyworks body cream but not the hand soap. It is expensive to ship the soap here as they are heavy and Bath and Bodyworks always packed the stuff in big boxes with a lot of brown paper.

I don't think this Bodyshop anti-cellulite serum works on me but the serum leaves my body with a cool, minty feeling after I showered.

I didn't like the Clear shampoo. I started to use it about 2-3 months ago. It causes my scalp too be too oily, resulting in a lot of hair loss. It wasn't really used up (my hubby helped me to use some) but I threw it away to prevent further loss as it wasn't suitable for us at all. It was clearly evidenced when I went for a checkup at Jean Yip salon last month and the salesgirl showed me photographs of my scalp and hair. There were also also some white hair. I never had white hair before it. The hair loss and appearance of white hair made me buy the Phyto products recently.

The Decleor essential balm for face helps to seal in moisture and thus keeps your skin hydrated. The balm helps you relax as it contains essential oils but it has a strong, petroleum like smell and some people may find it awful like my hubby and stayed far away from me when I used it. LOL :)

The SK II signs eye cream is useful to combat dark eye circle but it is quite expensive for a small jar. I had a SK II signs cream for the face but I gave it away as it is too hydrating for my face.

Japan! Diamond, Decorative, Dollywink, DUP, Eyemazing and Daiso Eyelashes, Eyelash Fixer Ex 552, eyeliners, eyelash glue

Just returned from my Tokyo trip. Didn't manage to shop for branded goods like bags etc.

Bought a lot of false eyelashes of various brands in Tokyo, Japan. The girls there have great skills in putting eyelashes... But eyelashes here are quite expensive, the cheapest are from Daiso, I think.

From Daiso... The bigger packs are priced at 315yen each while the rest are 105 yen each.

This is how my eyes looked like using Daiso # 14

Diamond eyelashes. 1050 yen per pack

Some of these packs had free cases. 945 yen per pack
The boxes for Diamond and smaller pink set of Decorative lashes are of the same size.

Dollywink lashes are expensive because at 1260 yen (if didnt remember wrongly) per pack, there are only 2 pairs.

Eyemazing lashes

Various types of Eyelash glue:

Eyeliners...

1 day tattoo..
Same price in Sg too after conversion. but feel cheated coz now in sg, they at $19.90 are on 20% off in Sasa.
