Ouch! Receding gums hurt so much! braces made it worse?!

After two visits to my orthodonist this month, I have been experiencing pain whenever liquid  or cold stuff moves past my front teeth. Even drinking water hurts.
I must make the liquid go straight to the throat to avoid the pain.

I cannot enjoy my ice creams, yogurt and cold drinks now...

:(
My teeth on 30 Jun 11:
the gums were not captured in this picture... the Pinkish part is the lip.

Look at my teeth!!! Photo taken some days ago.

It seems that my receding gums have loosened my teeth and when my front upper and lower teeth meet, there is pain and a tightness is experienced. Ever since my bottom front, Left 2 and Right 2 teeth started to move apart, the 2 middle teeth in the bottom front row hurt me so much. My gums seemed to recede and there's hardly any left to hold the roots of the teeth. They seemed quite shaky and  look as though they will drop off at any time.

I tasted blood on and off  these few days and I wonder if its due to the braces cutting into my gums and mouth or due to the gums?

I should have not used hard bristles to brush my teeth and not to have brushed with a lot of force.  My teeth's enamel are more exposed and the nerves getting too sensitive.

I will try to use those toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Any recommendations?

Bliss Hot Salt Scrub with Rosemary + Eucalyptus

I bought this Bliss Hot Salt Scrub (400g = 14.1oz) online through beauty.com in Oct last year, I didn't even touch it until now... Oh! Its almost a year already!

It retails at US$36. I shipped it to sg using vpost. There was no discount or free gift with the scrub. I got it because I tried the free sample sachet from a previous beauty.com purchase. My! Bliss Hot Salt Scrub was heavenly. And still is! :)

I really love the Eucalyptus scent, it is very soothing and calming.

When I opened the new container, the salt was already wet and I wondered if it was supposed to be dry in the first place. Perhaps, our climate has melted the salt?? (over one year?)

When you place some salt scrub on your palm, the salt immediately turns warm and the feeling is kind of nice. You are supposed to apply the salt to dry skin. I didn't read the instructions and used water. Next time I will remember not to wet my skin...

Though the price is quite steep, it is really very calming and great to use for a body scrub. Try it and you will love it!

Scrapbooking Haul @ Paper Market Raffles City

I posted an entry on Basic Scrapbooking@ Paper Market Raffles City and mentioned that I have bought quite a lot of stuff there. Its been almost 3 weeks and I have not even touched or use the stuff since I bought them.
My purchases ~ 3 weeks ago:

The free gift with $80 purchase and above. I should have spilt my purchases to get double? But the salesgirl said one person only one gift. I also get free membership.

dotliner glue. $11.90 before 15% discount. The teacher said it is much better than the one given free...

The free glue tape that came with the lesson. Not sticky enough...

This album retails at $59.90 before discount. a very old copy but newer unwrapped ones are more expensive. There is no standardised price although albums are of the same model and look the same. So you need to be look carefully at the price tags before you buy.

The foam letters- thickers at $8.90 before discount: Front and back:

12" x 12" papers- Mum's Kitchen pack at $38 before discount...
Front:
Back:

5" x 7" card stock
 A pack of patterned paper

Patterned papers and stickers off the rack, all packed together.
 die cuts

 to punch eyelets...

Die cut papers at $13.90 before discount.

Tweezerman's tweezers review.

Refer to my previous post on decleor-and-tweezerman-purchase

Inside the box with the purple leather 'pouch' at the top of the pic above, there are two pairs of tweezers.

Recently I used the point tweezer to pick out small pimple seeds (i wonder what's the scientific name?) and it worked very well!!! And it didn't cause any pain. Of course I sterilised the tweezers before use and also wiped my pimple with the alcohol swabs...

The point tweezer is very good for plucking pimple seeds quickly and efficiently in a painless (to me) manner.

The slant tweezer (petite version) is very good for plucking eyebrows...

The Body Shop Haul and ibutterfly apps

Went shopping at The Body Shop on 25 Sep as there was a 35% off the top 10 best sellers in the shop and I could get Body Shop membership. On top of it, I could get a free gift for every $70 spent and 20% off regular priced items.

I have not bought any gift for my hubby for his birthday and it was already past his birthday. OMG. I was too busy last weekend to go shopping.

I spent two hours shopping at body shop plus trying to catch butterflies using the iButterfly apps http://www.thebodyshop.com.sg/en/iButterfly.aspx but it didn't work. I simply could not see any butterfly. This was the second time I tried.

These were what I bought:

All the items I bought plus two sets of free gifts  supposedly worth $46+ per set.

The items that I bought:
 Another perspective:

The best sellers:
The 350ml Ximenia and Salt scrub at $52.90 before 35% discount. It comes in a very lovely container. Smells so good! I love body scrub!
But the price still quite steep.

How it looks like...

10 ml of the tea tree oil at $18.90 before 35% discount.

The Body Shop brushes, top: face and body brush at $32.90,  middle: eyeshadow blending brush at $20.90 and bottom: eye shadow brush at $19.90, all prices before 35% discount. I am going for a wedding lunch this weekend! I need them. Remember, I also want to go for a makeup course, consider them as investment!

The White Musk Sports gift set for my hubby, $49.90 before 10% discount. (Set only gets 10% off, sad right)

Hey, I didn't examine at all as the salesgirl just put inside my paper bag. Notice the torn part and the scratch marks across the hair and body wash. The tube was quite sticky, wonder if some leaked.. Aiyoh, this is supposed to be my hubby's present...

The ceramic burner for essential oils. I love scents and they help me relax... The last time I bought a $30++ burner from Body Shop, it broke even before I reached home. This reached me just fine. The crackled look is part of the design! :)

The free gift for every $70 purchase nett... I got two sets!

I discovered I left my daiso purchase at the Body Shop! Will get it back tml.
